There's a secret hidden in the 1840 U.S. Census!!

If you are researching Revolutionary soldiers in your family, here is a tip that is not extremely well known especially if your still starting out in research.  On the back or the second page of the 1840 U.S.Census there is a row where Revolutionary pensioners names were listed. Above is a example of the "Second Page" of the census. Also later there was a book written called " A Census of Pensioners for Revolutionary or Military Service",  published by the U.S. Census bureau in 1841.
This book is available on line at Internet Archives and is free to read or download.
