Extension Service roots began after the Revolutionary War and has
continued to educate and provide services to families to this day. The
history of the service and what collateral organizations will be
discussed in this program. Records provide family locations and their
social history backgrounds as well as geographical records of
communities. Federal records began in 1888 and are recorded at NARA. What acts of Congress are responsible for funding? What benefits did your community receive during major events of war and natural disasters?
