The new location for the GFO Fall Seminar is Taborspace Community Center at the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church at 5441 S.E. Belmont St. , Portland, Oregon.

CGGS has it's first open forum research day at the White Salmon Community Library on June 22, 2016. The event was sponsored by CGGS. Thank you Teddy Parkinson from White Salmon and Audrey Crader from Dallesport for setting this up for the local residents. Future open forum research days will be planned at different locations throughout the gorge area.

NGS New Guidelines for Genealogy Research














The National Genealogical Society recently updated their recommended guidelines for researcher's and genealogical professionals. The guidelines have not been updated since 2002.  The basic guidelines and 3 other important areas; internet, using libraries and other record repositories, and self-improvement and growth have been condensed into 4 PDF files to download. You may download these files at the NGS blog here:
